     Through the process of depth psychology, active imagination and dream work, the Individuation experience brings to the conscious psyche, formerly unconscious materials - heretofore repressed within an individual - These might include feelings and experiences from childhood often to painful to hold consciously. These new awarenesses, along with a better understanding of the individuals' biography, biology and aspects of personality, begin to coalesce - to heal - to create a more cohesive Self.

     The Self is an archetype which represents the uniting of both conscious and unconscious materials along with personality, life experience and inherited trait elements unique to the individual.

     Individuation is the lifelong process of self-discovery and psychological union where there is no graduation, no final ending. Once begun, Individuation travels with us unto our death. It is a vibrant journey of becoming, which helps prepare us for death.
